wmail è un'applet per il dock di WindowMaker che controlla la casella di posta, la quale può essere un mbox normale o una directory aderente al formato Maildir di qmail. Fornisce un'interfaccia grafica piccola e carina che mostra alcune informazioni utili sulla casella di posta (come molte delle altre applicazioni wm che fanno più o meno la stessa cosa...). In modo predefinito usa la variabile d'ambiente $MAIL per individuare la casella di posta in entrata in uso e non gestisce altri meccanismi di posta, come POP o IMAP; per recuperare posta basata su POP o IMAP si usi uno strumento come fetchmail.
