libsecrecy è una libreria C++ di soli header che implementa un formato di file cifrato basato su GCM (Galois Counter Mode) e AES128 o AES256.
Usa procedure nettle per cifrare e decifrare file con GCM usando AES128 o AES256 come funzione di cifratura e gpgme per l'archiviazione della chiave.
La cifratura è attualmente supportata solo in modo streaming, mentre la decifrazione permette accesso casuale nel file cifrato grazie a subunità cifrate indipendentemente.
