exiftran è un'utilità a riga di comando per trasformare immagini JPEG da fotocamere digitali. Può fare rotazioni senza perdita di dati come jpegtran ma, a differenza di questo, può elaborare più immagini contemporaneamente e tiene in considerazione i dati EXIF: può ruotare le immagini automaticamente controllando il tag EXIF sull'orientamento, aggiorna l'informazione EXIF se necessario (dimensione, orientamento dell'immagine) e ruota anche la miniatura EXIF.
