filter som indsætter printerspecifikke kommandoer i udskrivningsjob

ppdfilt er et filterprogram designet til at blive brugt i et filterskript eller fra et kommandolinjeværktøj til at indsætte printerspecifikke kommandoer til et PostScript-udskrivningsjob. Dette kan bruges til at fortælle printeren at duplexe (skrive på begge sider) eller stable udskrivningsjobbet, eller fortælle det hvilken skuffe der skal bruges papir fra. I GNULpr-udskrivningsmiljøet kalder brugerne ikke ppdfilt direkte, men dets funktioner tilgås ved at bruge »lpr« eller »gpr« (see).
