Dæmon til statistikindsamling og overvågning - grundlæggende system

Collectd er en lille dæmon, som indsamler systeminformation periodisk og tilbyder mekanismer til overvågning og opbevaring af værdier på forskellig måde. Da dæmonen ikke skal startes op hver gang, den ønsker at opdatere værdierne, er den meget hurtig og bruger ikke mange ressourcer på systemet. Statistikkerne er også meget finkornede, da filerne som standard opdateres hvert 10. sekund.

Den indsamlede information kan anvendes til at finde aktuelle flaskehalse i ydelsen (ydelsesanalyse) og forudsige fremtidig systembelastning (planlægge kapacitet).

Denne pakke indeholder hovedprogram-filen og udvidelsesmodulerne som vises nedenfor (nogle af disse udvidelsesmoduler kræver yderligere biblioteker - for flere detaljer, se /usr/share/doc/collectd-core/README.Debian.plugins), men ingen konfiguration. For en fuld installation (inklusiv konfiguration), se pakken »collectd«.
