Fondu è un insieme di programmi per convertire tra formati di tipi di carattere Mac e file PFB, TTF, OTF e BDF su UNIX.
Fondu legge una serie di file Mac, controlla i loro resource fork ed estrae tutte le voci relative ai tipi di carattere in file separati.
I file di input possono essere file macbinary (.bin), file binhex (.hqx), file resource fork Mac nudi o file data fork resource (.dfont, usati da Mac OS/X). Un resource fork nudo può essere generato facilmente copiando un file con un resource fork su un floppy (o zip) con un formato DOS. Il Mac creerà una cartella (invisibile sul Mac) chiamata resource.frk nella quale il resource fork risiederà come file nudo.
