Pyxiv2 er en Python-binding til Exiv2, C++-biblioteket til manipulation af metadata i billedformaterne EXIF og IPTC. Det er et rent Python-modul, der giver dine Python-skripter mulighed for at læse og skrive metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP og miniaturebilleder) som indlejres i billedfiler (JPEG, TIFF, ...).

Det er designet som en grænseflade på højt niveau, til den funktionalitet som tilbydes af exiv2 (og den er bygget oven på den). Med brug af Pythons indbyggede datatyper og standardmoduler, tilbyder den nem manipulation af billeders metadata.
